Indigenous Peoples Weekend

  • Cold river campground 211 Riverside Drive Eddington, ME, 04428 United States (map)

As the camping season winds down, we take a moment to recognize Indigenous Peoples Weekend — a time to reflect on the history, culture, and traditions of the Native communities who have cared for this land long before us.

It’s also our final camping weekend of the season before we close on October 15th.

If you’ve been meaning to squeeze in one more campfire, one more slow morning with coffee outside, or one more walk through crisp Maine air — this is the weekend.

Here’s what’s happening:

🛍 End-of-Season Savings at The Hitching Post Country Store

🍽 End of Season Bon Voyage Dinner

🔥 One last weekend of gathering, laughter, and fall campfires

The leaves are turning, the air is cool, and it’s the perfect time to enjoy the quieter side of camping.

We’re so grateful for everyone who spent part of their summer with us this year. Whether it was a weekend stay, a concert trip, a seasonal site, or your very first camping adventure — thank you.

We’ll see you around the campfire one more time before we close October 15th…

And then we’ll see you next summer. 🌞🌲
