Something wickedly fun is coming to Cold River Campground!

In 2027, Stephen King celebrates his 80th birthday, and we're marking the occasion with a weeklong celebration inspired by Maine's most famous master of horror.

With Bangor planning its own Stephen King festivities beginning September 18, Cold River makes a convenient camping home base for visitors exploring the area.

Spend time discovering Bangor's literary connections, then return to the campground for some spooky fun of our own.

Throughout the celebration:

• Golf cart parade

Saturday, September 25 — The Grand Finale!

• Trick-or-treating around the campground

• Masquerade dance

• Live music featuring Whiskey Bent
